Is South Africa ready for the World Cup challenge?

With the current economic climate and challenges that faces the world I can't help but to wonder if the world is ready for this one.

Sport in itself has proven in the past to surpass all obstacles and has challenged harder lines like racism and many things uglier.

South Africa, a country which shows great promise and opportunity is facing if not the hardest but yet the most exciting time of hosting the world biggest sporting event the Fifa World Cup. Also, when one think of South Africa a great iconic figure comes to mind- Nelson Mandela.

Like many other developing countries faced with challenges (crime, HIV Aids and unemployment) South Africa has proven itself to rise above all adversities and showed the world that greater things are possible.

Having hosted the Rugby World Cup, Wolrld athletics, and the African Cup of Nations there is no doubt that a country that once were curbed by Apartheid(racial discrimination) is ready to lead from the front!
